These terms of acting apply generally and are subject to any costs agreement which applies for your particular matter.
It is your responsibility to remain in contact with me. Failure to do so will cause delays in your matter and I may cease acting if I cannot get in contact with you.
You must pay your Legal Aid contribution or tax invoice when requested and comply with any requests for completion of a statutory charge consent form or current financial statement. I may cease acting if you fail to comply with any such request.
I only have a limited amount of appointments available. Missed appointments mean that delays are caused to all my clients. Repeated missed or cancelled appointments may cause me to cease acting for you.
You must pay any tax invoices that I issue from time to time on or before the due date. Unpaid invoices may be referred to a debt collection agency and/or law firm and if this occurs, you will be liable for all costs which would be incurred as if the debt is collected in full including legal demand costs, court fees and legal fees.
From time to time, I may offer work experience and training to law students and/or law graduates (hereafter “students”). By instructing me, you authorize disclosure of information relating to your matter to the said student/s upon the student entering into a confidentiality agreement.
